Universal Modder Installation and Usage Guide

Universal Modder is a set of tools for an AI agent that simplifies the game modding process.

Universal Modder is not a standalone program with a launch button. It is a toolkit that connects to an AI programming agent. The user describes the desired changes, and the agent independently examines the game, identifies the engine, and selects modding methods to produce the result.

Claude Code is recommended for operation. Required components: the agent itself, Git for installing the tools, Python version 3.10 or newer, and ffmpeg for video processing and recording the result. Installation is done via two commands in the Claude Code terminal: adding the marketplace and installing the universal-modder plugin.

Once the tool is connected, the task can be described in plain language. The agent will locate the installed game, analyze its structure, and help you build a working mod prototype. The project's source code is available on GitHub.
