CS2 Update: Roosters, Rush Mode and New Settings
Valve has released an update for CS2, adding a pet system and a number of gameplay changes.
The latest Counter-Strike 2 update introduces the ability to breed roosters. Eggs drop in the weekly drop, from which chicks hatch. Pets need to be fed and raised, otherwise they will leave. There are 34 bird variants available in total, and adult birds can be photographed and saved in a special album.
In addition to the pet system, the developers have made changes to the gameplay. A new Rush mode with 3×3 format battles has been added, and clan tags are back. Silent reloading and silent zoom-out have also been implemented, crosshair settings have been expanded, and blood and hit effects have been enhanced.
The update also affected customization: stickers can now be applied to the C4 bomb. These changes highlight Valve's desire to expand the game's capabilities while staying within the shooter genre, but adding new interaction mechanics.
