Dawn of the Machine Update Released for Quake

To celebrate the game's 30th anniversary, Bethesda has released a free expansion with new content and roguelike mechanics.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the original Quake, Bethesda has released the celebratory Dawn of the Machine update. The expansion was developed by MachineGames in collaboration with id Software. It is available for free to all owners of the game on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, as well as to Game Pass subscribers.

Players can expect 19 new maps, updated versions of enemies and weapons, a Deathmatch arena, secrets, and a fresh soundtrack. The campaign received roguelike elements: random changes, enemy respawns, new paths, and meta-progression.

Additionally, the update includes an archive of development materials, three new achievements, and a cheat menu.
