War in the North: Legacy Edition arrives 15 years later

The Legacy Edition of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. This is a remaster of the original game released 15 years ago.

Former WB Games director Christian Allen spoke about the challenges of the original 2011 release. He opposed launching the game just 15 days before Skyrim's release, fearing the project would not receive proper attention.

According to Allen, his concerns proved justified: the game was lost in the shadow of Bethesda's hit and received almost no press coverage or marketing campaigns.

Now the project has a second chance at success, as the remaster's release does not coincide with the launch of major competitors.
