Wing Commander III: anniversary edition of the series on Steam
EA has released updated versions of the classic Wing Commander series with restored video cutscenes.

Wing Commander III, released in 1994, is considered one of the most expensive games of its time thanks to its use of live actors and cinematic cutscenes. For many players, it became an example of how a game story can be just as captivating as a movie.
EA has released anniversary editions of the entire series, including the first installment and Prophecy. In the third installment, the video cutscenes have been restored from the original film reels, 60 FPS frame rate support and gamepad controls have been added. The updated version is available on Steam.
Until November 9, the Wing Commander series is on sale on Steam and GOG. This is a chance to return to a classic that previously required specialized hardware to run.
